Session Times for Tuesday September 1

What are stocks? What is the stock market? What is a "good" buy? How do I read the stock data? If you are interested in learning the answers to these questions, you are invited to attend a 50-minute class on the stock market held during one of your off periods. Sessions will run 1st-7th period in the Library/lab.

3rd Period will be offered for B and C lunch teachers.
4th Period will be offered for A and B lunch teachers.

My lunch will be from 11:25 to 12:05 for lunch.

Let the Games Begin!!!!

Wednesday morning on August 26 the faculty will gather in the library, laptops in hands, accessing three exciting content-rich programs. Former Jefferson County IB Economics teacher Terry Griffin and former gifted teacher from the Hartselle City Schools and state coordinator for the Stock Market Game will assist Cheryl Morrow in the working sessions. Both Terry and Wanda currently serve as outreach teachers for the Alabama Council on Economic Education.

3. Stock Market Game (Congratulations! You have just been given $100,000 to invest in the market. Get your game on faculty, counselors, and administrators. This competition will last 3 weeks and prizes will be awarded. Don't know much about the market? You are invited to attend a 50-minute class in the library/lab on the stock market.
